Safety is our priority! Our modern veterinary surgical services allow for a safe, effective, and comfortable patient experience. Before surgery begins, we always do our best to put your pet at ease, as we know pets sense our own energy. Pre-surgical lab work helps identify and address patient risks prior to the procedure. Our on-site veterinary laboratory provides immediate and accurate results for the safest approach to surgical treatment. Other pre-surgical testing may include digital X-rays and EKG assessment. Our hospital uses the safest anesthesia available in veterinary medicine, and all patients receive IV fluids to support vital functions. While under anesthesia, our patients are provided continuous monitoring of vital signs.

Quality and Compassionate Care Every Step of the Way
Pain management is very important to our surgical program. Many pets will hide their pain until they are truly suffering. Pain also inhibits the body’s ability to properly and quickly heal. For the most compassionate care and effective treatment of your pet, preventing pain from start to finish for our surgical patients is always our primary goal.
For certain surgeries, we administer pain medication prior to the procedure to prevent any possibility of suffering. Then, we may use injectable pain medication after the surgical procedure if the pain is anticipated. Almost always, our patients receive oral anti-inflammatories or other pain management medications upon discharge.
Regardless of whether your pet is undergoing routine surgery or if they have been rushed to our team in an emergency, we understand that we are caring for an important family member. We are dedicated to providing top-of-the-line care to help your pet live a healthier and longer life. Don’t hesitate to reach out to our team with further questions about our surgical services.
